This trip to Egypt in 11 days led us to tour one of the most fascinating countries in the world. Egypt is a land of pharaohs, the largest open-air museum on the planet. Just to see the pyramids of Giza or Abu Symbel is already worth the trip.
On the first day of the trip, we flew from Barcelona to Aswan, where we landed and moved to the pier to embark on the cruise that would take us on the Nile the following days of the trip to Egypt in 11 days.
On the second day of the trip and continuing with the cruise, we make stops and visit the Great Dam of Aswan and the Temple of Philae (Temple of Isis ...) before sailing again towards Kom Ombo.
On the third day of the trip to Egypt in 11 days we visit the Horus temple in Edfu, we sail to Esna, we pass through the sluice and continue to Luxor, another of the most fascinating visits you can make in the country.
On the fourth day of the trip, we continue on the cruise and pay a visit to the Necropolis of Thebes, the Valley of the Kings, the Queen Hatshepsut Temple, the Colossi of Memnon and in the afternoon, we leave the cruise to move to a hotel in Luxor, where after resting we will visit the temples of Karnak and Luxor.
On the fifth day of the trip to Egypt in 11 days we visited Dentera, to return in the afternoon to Luxor.
On the sixth day of the trip we moved to Aswan, enjoying a felucca ride on the Nile in the morning.
On the seventh day of the trip to Egypt in 11 days, we enjoy the visit to Abu Simbel, where we see one of the most incredible places in the world.
On the eighth day we return from Abu Simbel to Aswan and transfer to the airport to fly to Cairo where the next day we will visit the symbol of Egypt, its Pyramids.
In the afternoon we will meet Sakkara and Menphis, two highly recommended visits if you have time in the area.
On the tenth day we make several visits in Cairo, visiting the Egyptian Museum, the Citadel (Mohammed Ali Mosque) and the Khan el Lhalili market.
On the last day of the trip to Egypt in 11 days, we return to Cairo airport, where we take a plane that will take us back to the city of Barcelona.
Although Egypt can be visited for free, you will find it better priced and safer to book an organized circuit with an agency.
If you decide travel to Egypt with agency, we recommend you book one of the best rated circuits by travelers with a guide in Spanish:

Good! I know we repeat ourselves a lot but congratulations on your blog! I love reading them to prepare my trips, and also to die of envy, why not!
Next year we are going to Egypt! I still find it incredible, and although we go with an agency I have read that the tickets to the pyramids are not included. It seems that the guides do not recommend it because they say they are empty, but we will not leave without the feeling of entering there!
My question is whether as soon as you are there, if it is advisable to enter at two, that of Cheops and Kefren, or only one, and in this case which one?
Thank you!!ReplyVane and Roger says

Hi Cst,
Undoubtedly we would recommend you to enter one of them, although everything depends on the time they give you in the area, since the entrance implies a considerable time.

Good!!
We would like to go to Egypt in February but we did not finish deciding whether to do it on our own or with an agency. We like to go to our own way and decide the times but we think it can be a bit complicated. What are you saying?? Could we do well in our own air?
Thank you!!!ReplyVane and Roger says

Hello Sandra,
We did it with an agency and today, if we returned (something we have in mind), we would try to do it for free, although with the support of a local guide.

Hi Mikel,
We were already several years ago but we have friends who have been this 2016 and have not had any problems, quite the opposite.
About agencies, the truth is that we would not know which one to recommend. At that time we made the trip with Viajes El Corte Inglés. Regards!ReplyMikel says

Hi Lorena,
Think that this trip was in 2006, so the price may be able to guide you little. If you want it organized there are good offers, although these include flights and the Nile cruise.
You can leave for about 1000 per person about 13-15 days.
It cost us more or less that.

Hello! We are organizing a trip with my boyfriend. The truth is that we have a short budget but we are interested in knowing how much the trip cost, without the air.
We wait for the answer.
Regards!Reply
