This guide of how to get from Ciampino airport to Rome, it will help you to know what is the best way to get to your hotel or the city center.
The Rome Ciampino Airport, located 15 kilometers from the city, is the second with more traffic behind Fiumicino and is where most of the low cost companies land with direct flights from different cities in Spain and Europe.
This single-terminal airport is well connected to the city by both public and private transport, so you will have no problem getting to the city in a comfortable and fast way.
Based on the experience of the many times we have visited the city, during which we wrote this travel guide to Rome, we show you all the means of transport to make the transfer from Rome Ciampino Airport to the city center so that you choose the best one, according to your preferences.
Bus
The Terravision bus, which operates between 8 am and 12 pm, with a frequency of 30 minutes, will take you to Termini Station in 40 minutes.
The price is 5 euros, 9 euros round trip, if you buy it on their website and one more euro if you take it on board the bus.
From Termini station you have a metro, bus or tram to get to your hotel or to the place you need in the city.
There are other bus options that you can book here for 6 euros.
If you do not want to travel when you arrive at Termini, we advise you to look for accommodation such as the UNA Hotel Roma, where we stayed on our last trips and enjoyed all its magnificent services, including a delicious breakfast.
Another good option is to take the H line of the bus that stops in front of Termini station to take you to Trastevere, our favorite place in the city. In this neighborhood we recommend the Residenza San Calisto, a renovated historical building and perfect to spend a few days in the Eternal City.
